With three columns, plus the top navigation, you have ample room for all of your content. I ditched the traditional 'main content in the middle' archetype just to be different. You can use the two left columns as newsboxes, a more thourough navigation, or whatever you want. And of course, if you want to be like everyone else using a 3-column design, you can swap the order of the divs to put the main content back in the middle.

Hello, and welcome to Limeade. This is my fifth design for open source web design. Maybe after number ten I'll get a cheque or something. I doubt it. Anyways, this template is constructed with Xhtml Transitional, and uses Css for all of the styling. The result: a clean, modern looking design, which uses less than 1KB of images. (Not counting the images I put inside the posts). The design is completely liquid; it will look the same in any resolution, as the columns expand/contract accordingly. The footer will stay put at the bottom, no matter which column has the most content.
